yeast infection Signs & Symptoms – How To Know If You Have A Yeast Infection
A yeast infection (also known as Candidiasis) is a common infection affecting over 75% of women. It is caused by an overgrowth of a yeast-like fungus called candida, which is always present in the body without any symptoms until an overgrowth. The balance of bacteria and pH in a woman’s vagina is very delicate and can easily be altered. When this happens it throws off your body’s natural balance allowing the fungus to multiply. There are many yeast infection signs & symptoms you can experience.
There are many reasons for an alteration in your bodies bacterial and pH balance: stress, pregnancy, illness, hormones, use of antibiotics, bad diet, and improper hygiene or attire.
There are a number of common symptoms of yeast infections; you may have all of them or only a few. They are:
• Extreme itchiness in and around the vagina.
• Burning, redness, and swelling of the vagina
• Pain when urinating
• Pain during sex
• Soreness
• A thick, white vaginal discharge that looks like cottage cheese. It is usually odorless.
• A rash on the vagina
If you think you have a yeast infection, and you have never had one before, you should go see a doctor. It is highly recommended that you see a doctor the first time to ensure that a yeast infection is the actual cause of your symptoms. Yeast infections can sometimes be a sign of a more serious issue, such as an STD or Diabetes.
Once it is determined that the cause of your symptoms is in fact a yeast infection, there are numerous ways to treat it quickly and effectively. There are many over-the-counter medications available which can cure a yeast infection in as little as a day, as well as many natural treatments that can be done inexpensively in your own home.

3 months pregnant with an itchy vagina?
Hi. i am 3 months pregnant and my vagina has be itching extremely bad. It itches right around my hole. This had started about a week ago. I have always had discharge so i wouldn’t be able to say if i am having any with this. But could you please maybe give me some guesses to what it could be and if there is any home remedies to how i can stop the itch till i get out. I am kinda stuck in the house in a snow storm. And so if it is a yeast infection or of some sort could this hurt my baby?
Yeast infection, you have it right. There are VERY common during pregnancy, because the baby basically shuts down your immune system in that area to keep the vagina from treating it like a invader.
The best thing if you cant get to a store to get something for it is just to keep it clean till you can get out.

NEVER DOUCHE while pregnant. When you are able to go to the store get MONISTAT®. This is what my doc told me to use for Yeast Infections while pregnant.
To help prevent it from happening again try to adjust your diet to include more acidic things (citris, tomato’s [even pasta sauce], and yogurt [this especially]) will help to prevent future outbreaks while pregnant.
Yeast infections can cause you to go into pre-term labor, or cause miscarriages. I said CAN not will. But you should treat it asap to prevent this from being a concern. Other than causing these than no, they wont hurt your baby at all. Just treat it with Monistat asap when you can get some and start eating some stuff to prevent future ones.
Good luck and hope that helped! =)
